Limited Liability Partnership
Since 1st April 2006 Marshall Sutton Jones transferred its business to Marshall Legal LLP and is now trading as a Limited Liability Partnership.
A Limited Liability Partnership limits the financial liability of The Members of the partnership. We are not a Limited Company. There are no directors. The business is managed by the Members.
The day- to- day professional service provided by Solicitors who are Members of the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) continues to be fully Regulated by the Law Society.*
The professional rules on conduct, insurance, management and the handling of client’s money or property apply both to Solicitors in a partnership and to solicitors as “ Members” who have formed a Limited Liability Partnership.
Safeguards for clients are rigorous.
*As From July 2007 we will be Regulated by The Solicitors Regulation Authority which is an Independent Body set up By The Law Society to take over the duties of The Law Society in Setting, Monitoring and Enforcing Professional Standards .
